This was taken on the Williamsburg bridge, that spans from Brooklyn to Manhattan in NYC. I had discovered the bridge just a few days prior, and realized I would need to come back with my camera. This was taken with a Panasonic G9, using the Leica 12-60mm lens - I had switched from a Nikon DSLR less than two months prior.
I loved the lines here (I'm not sure if they qualify as "leading" - they're kind of everywhere, pointing in all directions), so I hung out for a bit and took a few variations, e.g. with multiple cyclists in view, dragging the shutter to blur the cyclists, etc. This was by far my favorite.
I was slightly worried about the DFD autofocus, since the cyclists were coming through fast, so I pre-focused on the rail just in front of them.
The RAW file was processed using Darktable.
I really like the simplicity in the shot and the edit! Nice catch!
