This image "Golden Gulls" was taken on Long Beach in Rockport, MA.
It is late in the day, mid March, on a stunningly cold day using a Nikon D700 with a Nikon AFS zoom set at 300mm. White balance is set at auto ISO at 400. The gulls are wondering how far it is to Spain and if it is warmer there.
