I woke up at 1:30AM near Modesto to make the 3 hour drive to Tunnel View for sunrise. I think it paid off. This was shot at 70mm on my Nikon Z7 with the Z 70-200mm.

I'm jealous... our sunrise tunnel view was obscured due to an incoming blizzard. Still one of my favorite photos, but am still sad to not get the sunrise lighting I had envisioned.
You gotta keep trying. I got lucky, but that's usually how sky conditions go for landscape photogs.
