2.55 - "Solid"

This is going way back to the early 1990s when I first started shooting. The model's name was Corey, but I can't remember his last name. He was working on becoming an actor, and I was just getting into working with models, so we did a trade shoot.

I was really inspired by Herb Ritts, so that was the mood I was going for.

Shot on a Nikon F4s with a Nikon 105mm f/2.8 lens on T-Max 400 film, which was scanned on an Epson scanner. I can't remember the F-stop, but I was more than likely shooting it wide open.

I do not want to offend as I mean this in an excellently positive way but I love the simplicity of the photo. I feel like we learn a lot about the model. How he feels etc.
It is sharp but not over-sharpened - soft and vulnerable. I love the range of tone and the focus drawn to his eyes
