This portrait is of artist & art professor Mark Dixon in his studio. He was working on a piece comprised of many many pieces of wood dipped over and over in paint. I took a number of portraits in this setting, but this one stood out. I love his eyes, his covered face & his posture. Shot on Sony A73 with I think a 24-70 (at 35mm) and a Profoto A2 in a Softlighter II camera right, just to augment the daylight coming through the windows.
