Fia & her friend — In my studio, I used my AD600 strobe as the key light with my 45" octo. And a little old kid sized chair. I posed her to lean on her right side because she had a strong lazy eye and her mother didn't want that to be noticeable. I didn't want to retouch her pretty eyes so by positioning her this way her eyes aligned just right. She is a sweet happy kiddo and I enjoyed photographing her. I shot the butterfly separately and added it in. She wanted an unexpected element and she loved butterflies. Simple and sweet.
Shot with my Canon 5d iii - and the 85mmL @f10
If you leave "needs work" — please feel free to suggest what I can do to improve. I never stop learning — thank you :)
I'd say find a way to not have the hand compete with the face. The hand is too close and too bright and it competes for attention from the face.
Well thank you Dan! I appreciate your feedback. I will happily give that edit an update to help the focus on her expression even more. xo
