This is an image of an alley in the middle of the city downtown. I used a reading magnifier to alter the light and to create the distortion. I used photoshop to crop, but otherwise this is straight out of the camera.
I love how this image was taken in the middle of the city, but looks like a battle ship traveling through water. For this image I played with allowing the viewer to either stay in the abstract or return to reality by showing small areas of what's really in front of me at the top and bottom of the image.
