This image was shot for an assignment where the subject was to emerge from lightness. I chose to use the door to my garage to photograph my dress form wearing a sheer vintage dress. Behind the door you can see various items emerging from the shadows. I love how light and airy the dress feels and how the light filters through the areas that are coming away from the dress form. I chose to situate the door directly in the center to really heighten the contrast between the dark and light areas.
Aside from a slight crop and straightening, this image is straight out of the camera.
