The image was shot during a May 8th sleet/snow storm. It was a half-second exposure, manually focused, taken with a tripod in the middle of the road, with a two-second delay on the shutter. I noticed the subject walking up to the intersection and was able to position the camera at the near-optimal time for the subject's placement in the photo.
