Skull Rock at Joshua Tree National Park, California, 2:56 am, 2019. Camera was the Nikon D500 w/10-24mm f/3.5-4.5G lens. Settings were f/3.5, 10mm (effective focal length 15mm), 30 sec., ISO 1600. I used my headlamp with its red lamp to paint the rock for this effect. Edited in Capture One 23, lowered White Balance temperature, reduced exposure by 1/3 stop, pushed Whites, and dropped Blacks, adjusted the red tone and burned the "eyes and nose".
