Dancer in action. It was a test shot for an upcoming campaign work for the National Dance Theatre in Hungary. It's been shot with 6 flashes. In the background you can see the two 3x4 Westcott rapid softboxes, with the Pro Light Mod covers. On both of their sides are two more kick lights (stripboxes) from the corners. From camera left is the key light, with a 90cm softbox, and from beside the camera is a large softbox towards the model, for fill. All flashes were below 1/8 power to be fast enough to freeze the movement even in the hair. Didn't need to raise the ISO too much, because the smoke worked as a global diffuser also. The goal was to create shadows and highlighted areas on the body, to emphasize the definition all around, giving 3 dimensional experience to the viewer.
