I wanted the drama of lighting to match the drama of her contortion pose. Hence the precise rim lighting paired with a shaft of light in the background. I placed a bare strobe head with deep reflector on the top right to rim her legs, and also to create the perfect little patch of illumination around her eyes. It highlights the closed eyes showing how serene and calm she is while holding such an extreme back bend. Lighting is with Broncolor studio strobes, and shot on a Canon 5Ds with a 70-200/2.8 L lens.
