Portrait of a blacksmith in his forge. This location was a photographer’s dream but still needed plenty of lighting and haze to bring out the look I wanted.

I had an orange gelled light behind the fire back right to enhance the glow from the fire. A bare Profoto B1 outside the window to create the flare just to the left of the subject. Key light was another B1 with a 5ft octa out of shot to the left. The smoke on the tongs was real as he had just been working a piece of metal.

Shot on a Nikon D810 with Sigma 50mm at f3.5.

Well done! I like the light play and haze behind the subject.
