This photo was taken in 2008, using a Canon 5D and a Sigma 28-105mm f2.8-4 DG lens (long out of production), on a small speedboat on the Cuiabá River.

Winter dawn in the Brazilian Pantanal, around 5 AM. The mist is the result of the contrast between the cold air and warm water and lasted very little time. I only managed to get this photo with the mist.

The image was minimally edited in Lightroom, I only removed the slightest color deviations and did a little manual noise reduction. Saved in 8-bit jpeg in Photoshop, no cropping.
