Often, the challenge for me is simply seeing the subjects.
This photo, for example, was taken in Fauske, Norway, ten years ago. We were visiting some friends, and while we were chatting in their garden, I looked down at my feet and saw these rather unremarkable leaves. But the soft light and the droplets on the leaves from the recent rain made me realize that I was literally standing in the middle of a photo opportunity.
So, I just went to the car to grab my Canon 1DX with a 50mm lens. And this was the result after some Lightroom editing.
Now I shoot with a Canon R6 Mark II.
