This picture means something special to me. We were on vacation in western Norway about 40 years ago. I was probably 14-15 years old and borrowed my father's Pentax film camera (unfortunately, I don't remember the model). When we arrived at a campsite, I went for a walk and saw this boy sitting there. He looked a bit lonely and abandoned.
When my father got the pictures back from development, I felt that the picture conveyed what I felt when I saw the situation - loneliness. And being able to capture an experience, a feeling, fascinated me. So this picture sparked a lifelong interest in photography for me.
I still have the negatives lying around.
Now I shoot with a Canon R5 Mark II.
