Taken with a 10 y/o Canon 5D mkIII and an equally old 16-35mm lens. A calm and tranquil scene that does nothing to describe the location at the time. Dozens of photographers lining the shore and the water with tripod legs criss-crossing each other. The thought of capturing something unique blowing away despite the still air.
With a camera this old and with such a high shutter count, the sensor is showing signs of degradation. The amount of time spent scouring the image at 200% with the healing brush tool, finding the hundreds of hot pixels a long exposure produces, was a little demoralising. It's still a photo that suits my desktop background quite nicely.
