2.11 - "Needs Work"

This is the portrait of an unknown guy working at a historical pub near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, UK. I took this picture as he was pouring a pint, gently forcing my way through the crowd in an attempt to get closer with my 50mm. Almost unseen, I then waited for the right moment, made eye contact, and hoped for his consent to shoot, fearing his rejection. In a split second, I knew he was okay with me taking his portrait: this maintained the spontaneity of the expression, a good composition. The lens and the magic lights of the pub did the rest. I used Lightroom and Luminar for a gentle post-pro, mainly to find the right white balance. The model had already chosen the right shirt to beautifully match skin, hair and eyes color.
