As a nature and wildlife photographer, portraits are not my cup of tea. However, the waves and stormy skies on that day were too dramatic to pass on.
I set my camera on a tripod, set the capture timer to 10 seconds and ran on top of this rocky feature as quickly as possible, hoping to coincide with a receding wave. I set the exposure time to 2 seconds and stood as still as possible. Using the classic Neg film simulation as base, I increased the micro contrast in the sky and water to add more texture to the shot. No artificial light, strobes, smoke machines and complex logistics, but a fun experiment for sure!

Outstanding. I'm a fan of creative self portraits
Thank you very much for the kind words!
