Wanted to learn how to take portraits so I saved up for a workshop. I tried really hard to make a flattering edit but just couldn't get the skin tones right so I made it black and white. I could have sworn that I exposed better than this but I couldn't recover much details from around his eyes. Workshop was good, learnt a lot about controlling the light better and what I should be thinking about. The model could tell I was nervous and was pretty good at putting me at ease, I always thought its supposed to be the other way around. All in all I enjoyed learning taking portraits and am confident I could make some decent ones of friends and family.
