The photo captures an intimate moment of the German singer-songwriter Matze Rossi during one of his heartfelt live performances. The gig took place in a small venue — the KGB - Kultur.Güter.Bahnhof (Cultural Goods Station) — a charming cultural club nestled in the small town of Langenberg, Germany. As one of the official photographers for the club, I have the privilege of documenting the unique atmosphere and emotional depth of the artists who perform there, for which I'm really thankful.
Over the years, I kept focusing on mastering the art of live music photography. It has been a journey of experimentation, patience, and passion to find that kind of style which truly captures the energy and authenticity of a performance. And, to be honest, I'm still searching. To date, I’ve photographed approximately one hundred concerts and several festivals.
When it comes to post-processing, I use Adobe Lightroom for initial adjustments like exposure, color grading, and contrast. To add the final touches and bring out the mood and emotion of each shot, I turn to Luminar Neo, which allows me to elevate the images and give them a distinctive, polished look.
