Tiger Shoe Repair in Birmigham Michigan was in operation from the late 60's until just after the pandemic. Sebastian was an incredibly nice man who adored his customers. The challenge was the tight space, I had to light with a beauty dish by clamping it to an exposed rafter and get up high enough to shoot down onto the work surfaces that showcase the age of the shop and all it's history. There is a gritty and beautiful ruggedness to this location and it's juxtaposed against his warm and inviting smile. He was a master craftsman in a modern world. I shot this with a Canon 5D Mark III and a 24-105. Profoto 7 B and a few smaller flashes with grids to highlight the details on the workbenches and draw out their textures
