This bird, a european bee eater, moves very quickly and is difficult to catch in the air. This has been possible thanks to modern technology:
- super fast AF for tack sharp result
- blackout free EVF which allows to follow the subject while shooting
- 30 FPS which allows to get the perfect wings position
- fast memory cards which avoids latency
- high resolution which allows to crop heavily the picture (the bird is not big and you cannot be super close and being to close you cannot frame anyway)
- high ISO performances
- modern post processing features

I would add that to get this shot, I had to hide as much as possible by wearing camouflage clothes and getting on location very early before the birds arrive. I pay a lot of attention to disturbing wildlife as little as possible.
