Taking my camera for a walk last Autumn I found this leaf. It was on my desk for about a week as I pondered how I wanted to photograph it. I chose a side shot, rather than a typical flat leaf.

I placed a sheet of black paper on the table and a piece of glass from a picture frame on top. Once the leaf was in place I viewed the leaf from various angles and heights before getting my camera out.

I waited until a little later in the morning for better light coming in through the window.
