This was shot on a Nikon D600 using the 18-200 lens. f/18, 18mm, 1/200

I lit this using a nikon sb80 speedlight with a small shoot through umbrella just above her facing down. This is Ashley, a friend from high school, who decided to do some amateur modeling. She had a very strong rock star girl vibe with plenty of colorful tattoos. We shot a few different poses and looks but this one really has a great look. I did process this photo making it have contrast and separation from the background.

I'm not sure if I'm understanding the photo how you mean it, but to me, it's conveying a lot of deep emotion, by her pose, that she's on the floor, a gray and darkish background, and her eyes are a little red. It feels more documentary. If you're going for a portrait feel, I might brighten her a little and whiten the eyes a little. Definitely it's a special picture, I really love it!
