Winter is my favourite season to capture the ancient oaks in my nearby nature reserve. The absence of leaves reveal the delicate structures of the branches in their full glory.
On this particularly cold January morning, hoar frost engulfed the scene, bringing an ethereal feel to the surroundings. What would have been a fairly harsh and flat scene suddenly showed depth and subtle contrat roll off.
Shot on Fuji GFX 100 and GF 45mm f/2.8
