Shot with an Amaran 300c in "party mode" (where the colors cycle every split second) with a lantern softbox. We used some lace fabric where the model would throw it in the air and try to pose while it was in the air. This was one of the nice colors the light produced and it fit really well with her outfit.

Fascinating photograph. I really like this. Her fingers spread wide seem to add an additional distinctive touch (among many) to the image.

Thank you. I've had mixed reactions about her fingers being spread like that. Normally, it wouldn't work, but it works here.

Even the critics might have to concede that her hands draw you into the photo. With your monochromatic color and lighting that transcends ordinary reality, the fingers benefit from that slight deviation from entirely normal as well. Although in its entirety, she still looks relaxed and comfortable in the pose. It almost looks like she’s sitting in water at the bottom of a cloudy fish bowl. Can’t think of a better photo in the contest so far that’s used “soft light” to make such a strong statement.
