Nikon D600 - Tamron 28-300 @ 135mm - ISO 400 - 1/1250 - f/7.1
I heard the forecast for fog and knew I had to get to this site just east of my home before sunrise. I knew the rising sun interacting with this tree would be good and I hoped the fog would make it spectacular. Low light levels combined with fog made focusing a challenge and positioning myself in the right place relative to the tree before the sun got too high did not allow me to dawdle I thought I had my shot and had started to put the camera away when I saw the two geese entering. I managed to get back in position and framed as the birds entered the shot. Can light be dramatic and soft at the same time? I think so.

Beautiful shot :) *it could work well as a 16:9 crop (keeping everything on the right side of the image) as well tho, at least in my opinion :)

Thomas and Nigel, Thank you for the “likes.” Thomas, You are correct, 16:9 works well. It currently is cropped for a 22” x 44” canvas.

Lukasz J, Thank you for the "like."
