In January I went for a photo dedicated trip to Slovenia. It was a warm winter, and there was very little snow in the valleys, but as you got higher into the Julian Alps, you could start to see some snowy conditions. On one of the days we drove through a layer of fog and hoarfrost. We stopped and spent a couple of hours photographing the area. As we were about to leave, I noticed this hoarfrost-covered tree standing out against the backdrop of darker trunks.
