I was out walking my dog with my camera when she chased this squirrel up a tree. After chirping at it for a bit, it got curious and decided to come closer to see what I was doing. I typically shoot macro with a Nikon D200 and a Tamron F017. Getting a moving creature well lit and in focus with a macro lens can be tricky, so this shot required a bit of luck. I love how the light is filtering through the leaves and casting on the squirrel's face, and the curious look in its eyes.

Nikon D200, Tamron F017. ISO 100, f/3.2, 1/250 sec., 90mm
