If the light looks a little weird, that’s because it’s forest fire light. The sun was bright red in the middle of the fall day let alone sunset. The fire that enveloped El Capitan in smoke was about 15 miles outside of the park, and white ash was softly falling throughout the day. The trees look like silhouettes, and I had to work hard with my limited knowledge of Photoshop to bring out the color.
