A 20-30 mph wind was ripping over the exposed Brecon Beacons ridge we were hiking that took temperatures down to -10. It was some relief to descend into the Olchon Valley, a narrow defile lined with ice encrusted trees that seem to cling for dear life on its steep sides. The diffuse light and low cloud made it quite atmospheric. Despite the bitter cold and reluctance to take off my gloves I made a few snaps on my Nikon Z50 and 18-140mm lens.
