I came across this drake mallard taking an afternoon nap at the Parkville Nature Sanctuary in Parkville, Missouri. He must have been quite tired because he remained undisturbed even though I forgot to switch to silent mode/electronic shutter. The area where he was resting is forested, providing soft filtered sunlight that was just enough to illuminate the scene without pushing the ISO too high.
