When not at work I like to spend my time carrying out conservation work and I always have a camera with me. On this particular day we were working on a local meadow which had areas that were carpeted with buttercups. I wanted to capture this vast expanse of yellow and noticed flies landing on the leaves. To capture this image I had to lie flat on the ground in order to get to the same eye level as the fly. The file was firstly developed in DxO PhotoLab and then adjusted using the Nik Collection.
The camera used was a Canon 5D III using a 100mm macro lens.
Soft lighting was provided by a bright but overcast day.
