These snapping turtles look like the best of friends but actually appeared to be tussling over a raccoon carcass in the water below them. I managed to snap this shot just as the larger one was trying to push the smaller one under. Captured at Parkville Nature Sanctuary in Parkville, Missouri in a forested area that provided soft filtered light.
