It's 2024 cherry blossom season in Washington, DC. Jasmine and Lucy are 9-year old Yellow Labs posing with their pawrents at the Jefferson Memorial with the monument and Tidal Basin behind them. I used a Nikon Z8 with a focal length of 70mm on a Nikon 70-200mm lens. I shot at 1/500, f5, 110 ISO. Their owners wanted "casual family portraits" with the cherry blossoms. Mom made them cherry blossom bandanas for the occasion. Both Jasmine and Lucy are rescue dogs. Mom was a volunteer in China with an animal rescue group helping rescue dogs from meat trucks. She rescued Jasmine, a puppy, from such a meat truck and brought her back to the US. In this photo the clouds filtered the sun's rays creating a beautiful soft sky light.
