Shoot from the hip!
Another photo from the studio shoot with the model, same lighting from the window to the left of the camera, and bouncing off the white walls of the studio.
This was shot with the Canon 5D Mark II camera and the 24-105mm f/4 IS lens.
The idea was a spoof on the street photographer technique of shooting people by holding the camera low at hip level so they won't notice they're being shot. The model's pose is also reminiscent of a cowboy quick draw pose, except she's using the camera instead of a gun.
