Every year a small creek beside our house slowly comes alive. From brown earth and dead vegetation revealed as the snow melts, seemingly overnight an explosion of green appears, led by these wonderful ferns. The window for these is so short that as is the case in this one, if I had not taken this shot in the morning, by evening I would have missed it. To me it represents that endless cycle of renewal and I never grow tired of capturing it.
