I visited Europe for the first time in 2023 and fell in love with the city of Venice, Italy. Around every single corner, I could easily find something to photograph because of the textures, colors, people, and overall environment.

I shot this from one of the bridges overlooking the Grand Canal using a Nikon D750 with the Nikon 28-200 f/3.5-5.6G zoom lens set to 28mm at f/3.5, ISO 400, and a shutter speed of 1/1250 sec. To capture everything I could from the scene, I shot a series of photos from the same vantage point but twisting my torso from left to right and then tilting upward slightly and returning to the left side. In post, I used the Photomerge tool in Photoshop to stitch all the images together into a large print, similar to a panoramic shot, then cropped it to fit into a 24x36 frame.

As beautiful as it was in color, something about converting it to a sepia tone gave it more of a vintage feel.
