As with so many formations in the Southwest, the layered red and yellow rocks at Yant Flat capture an immense amount of light, even after the sun has set. Here, the cliff-faces opposite the sun provide a soft glow to the "Candy Cliffs" in St. George, Utah.

While the cliffs offer countless compositions once on location, getting to them requires driving 12 miles on harsh dirt roads, hiking several miles, and scrambling down hundreds of feet of steep rockfaces.

This is a 3-image exposure bracket shot on the Sony A9i with the Sony 16-35mm f/4 @ 19mm, f/8.
