This is a picture of the USS North Carolina battleship memorial in Wilmington, NC. It is unique in that the field of Zinnias, once planted annually, is no longer there, and has been replaced with a parking lot. I thought the image boldly represented the difference between war, power, might and beauty, serenity, and peace.
