Moosehead Lake in Maine is far from anything. Flying is the norm and this beautifully restored Piper J-3 Cub on floats spends Summers on the Lake. Having spent a large part of my life above planet earth in various aircraft I appreciate and love the lines and form of the classic Cub. Having a print to admire daily could only bring joy and memories of flying this wonderful machine.

The image was made while visiting Moosehead Lake for the International Seaplane Fly-in, using a Leica SL2-s and a Vario-Elmarit 24-70 zoom. The tranquility of this safe harbor on the lake made me stop to visit with the Cub pilot and record this image.
