I spotted this lone zinnia in a field of yellow and the contrast really stood out to me. It took several attempts to get the depth of field the way I wanted it to be and the light kept changing due to partial cloud cover. This image works without a ton of editing because the light is muted, the shadows soft. There is no need to punch up the colors. Nikon D90, 130mm, 1/400sec, f/5.6, ISO 200.
