On Saturday we threw another incredible party with Peter Hurley during Photo Plus. As always we had an abundance of pizza and alcohol but more importantly we had an incredible photobooth. In fact, it was probably the most expensive photobooth ever created.
This year Broncolor loaned us a 7 foot parabolic and a Scoro Pack. Those 2 things alone cost over $23,000. Needless to say, we were very careful not to spill our drinks on their gear.
Head over to the Fstoppers Facebook page to see all of the picture from the event.
Also, if you haven't seen already. We announced the first ever Fstoppers Workshop at this event which has just gone public.
We also found a very valuable signed book at our party and we would like to return it.
Great! quite a lot ot them! How did you set up the light for this photobooth?
Looks like a single Para 222. From the @fstoppers twitter account:
Ow! That's kinda efficient!
That looks like a projection on the background. Are they feeding the results to a projector? I noticed they were firing it with a remote PW. I wonder how they're making sure everyone is in the shot or if they had live view?
yep, projector plugged into the camera so you and everyone else can see the shot right after it's taken. The strobe overpowered the projector light with each pop.
Thats pretty genius, not sure I have seen it projected in the same spot behind the subjects like that. Well done guys!
Lee, was the projector straight into the camera's live view through HDMI? Using a few seconds of image review to display the most recent photo?
Yep
What does the fox say?
Can we stop calling this type of setup a "photobooth" ? No enclosure...no booth. It's just a photo-op!
Friggin' amazing PHOTO-OP!
I see these and have to think of Terry Richardson?!?! Looks like good fun had by all!
wooohaaa...think you got the joke ;-)
too much flannel
I didn't care for it...didn't know anybody.
$23,000 gear can do what TR does with the build-in flash of a point&shoot.... hoooya! You got me
It was a great party!
The Photobooth was phenomenal, and meet Fstoppers writers (who love chocolate Venezuela lol) is priceless.
By the way The Master Peter Hurley is crazyyyyy! like all geniuses ...
Cheers, everyone!
