Adobe Brings Retina Support to Photoshop and Illustrator

That headline basically says it all, but in case you needed confirmation: yes, today Adobe is pushing retina support to all Illustrator and Photoshop users on the Creative Cloud and perpetual customers (those using discs). Unfortunately, if you're on a PC this update does not affect you, but I think we all could have predicted that since this kind of addresses a Mac specific problem.

From Adobe's Blog:

"With this update, customers can see more detail in images, text, and in the Illustrator user interface when working on high-resolution displays, including the new Retina display available on MacBook Pro. The HiDPI feature in Illustrator is currently only available on Mac OS. It is expected to be available in the future on additional operating systems.

To access HiRes/Retina support, open Illustrator CS6 and from the main menu select Help > Updates, and choose Update from the Updates dialog.

Find out more about this and many other updates coming to Adobe Creative Cloud. Watch the Create Now Live event on line that kicks off Tuesday, Dec. 11, at 10 AM PT. Tune in here."

It's like the first time you put on glasses and realize how many leaves are on the trees! My images look much more like they will when printed large.
