The Fuji XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens is a very compact, lightweight, and affordable lens with a versatile focal length and wide aperture. This great video takes a look at it to help you decide if it deserves a place in your bag.
Coming to you from Christopher Frost Photography, this great video review takes a look at the Fuji XF 35mm f/2 R WR lens. The XF 35mm f/2 is remarkably small, weighing in at just 6 oz (170 g) and only 2.36 inches by 1.81 inches. Combined with its cheap price ($399), it makes it a remarkably portable and fantastic option for photographers looking for a relatively wide aperture lens that will not take up much space or add much weight to their bag. In addition to that small size, the XF 35mm f/2 features two aspherical elements for reduced distortion and improved sharpness, Super EBC coating for reduced flares and ghosting and improved contrast, weather-sealing, and a rounded nine-blade diaphragm for good bokeh quality. Altogether, if you are looking for an affordable lens that can jump into a wide range of situations without adding to much bulk to your setup, it looks like a very interesting option. Check out the video above for Frost's full thoughts.
That isn't a cheap 35 for apsc. The 35 XC is the lens.
The new X100V 28mm f2 (35mm equivalent) also has 2 aspherical components. Is this lens cheap because it is also used for the X100V?
Firstly the X100v is a 23mm lens, secondly its a fixed lens camera so it cant be changed, 3rd it has a leaf shutter... this lens is a completely different focal length, optics layout, design, in fact its about as far away from that X100 lens as a lens could get.
