As done in the past, Nikon is now offering its "lens only" instant rebate sale at the end of their fiscal year. Now is the perfect time to snag that new lens you've been drooling over. The sale is set to expire at the end of the month, so that means you've got until February 28 to pull the trigger.

Right on schedule, I bought an 85mm 1.4 LAST week! Grrr.
There is usually an exchange policy within 30 days of purchase. Depending on where you bought it.
You can call and get the same rebate, if it is within 30 days of purchase.
Since it was an online photo gear retailer I wasn't sure what luck I would have. They did at least offer me store credit. So...what shall I spend my $102 on?!
The deal on the 70-200 2.8 is worth picking one up...it is usually $2400 - $2600
I can't decide on the Nikon 85mm 1.4 or 70-200mm f/2.8 for portraiture. I've rented the 70-200mm 2.8 for weddings and love the VR and versatility, but the dof of the 1.4 is really tempting
