Japanese lens maker, Tokina, announced today their huge development in lenses with the addition of a variety of Mirrorless camera lenses.
Tokina's announcement comes in light of the cancelation of the CP+ 2020 trade show, Asia's largest annual camera and imaging expo which was to be held in Yokohama, Japan.
We couldn't accept the loss of this great chance. Therefore, in commemoration of the 70th anniversary, we officially announce Tokina new lens line-up which we intend to release in 2020 year.

The atx-i line, which has been announced and released earlier this year, is an update of some Tokina's most popular APS-C DSLR lenses, the 11-16mm f/2.8 ultra-wide angle lens, and the 100mm macro lens. Both lenses are made for Canon and Nikon APS-C cameras, along with an 11-20mm lens to be released in the summer.
More importantly, Tokina has now joined the Mirrorless race as they announced development of the atx-m line for Sony Full frame Mirrorless, Sony APS-C Mirrorless and most notably, for Fujifilm APS-C Mirrorless cameras. This news becomes more significant as this development gives new options for Fujifilm X camera users. Previously, the only widely available third party lenses in X-mount are the Carl Zeiss Touit lenses.
APS-C Mirrorless lenses come as 23mm, 33mm and 56mm f/1.6. While the new Sony Full Frame Tokina lenses are at 35mm and 50mm f/1.8 to join the already released Tokina ATX-M 85mm f/1.8 FE.
Prices and pre-order details are yet to be released.
Hopefully not more old formulas in new casings, as has been their modus operandi so far with their "new" lenses.
I think we have enough lenses in these focal lengths. It would be great if someone made some longer AF primes for Fuji x-mount like 135mm, 150mm and 200mm at a reasonable size. f/2.8 would be fine
