I held a lighting workshop recently. Sterling was the model. I rarely shoot silhouettes but I wanted to incorporate that arch into a shot. Backlighting became an obvious choice.

Very cool looking shot! Love the blue tones and the foreground is very interesting. I wonder, ow much time did you have to expose the foreground for it to be lit like that?

This is near perfection. The top of the tree on the left distracts my a bit. But the foreground with the leading line and the position of the milky way are awesome.
