Tried a new moonlit night sky black and white conversion

What do you all think of this? I went up to engineer pass near Durango CO on a night that had ample moonlight. The exposure I got gave me a nice saturated blue sky (almost like it was daytime) but with stars visible (you can see a non black and white shot in my portfolio). I then upped the contrast and converted it to black and white and I really like the results, but I'm curious to see what others think of this approach! Anything you'd do differently from shooting to editing?

Paige's booth portrait

Recently, I taught an Off Camera Flash class. Paige was my model for the class. We were outdoors but it started to rain. Luckily, a nearby restaurant let us conduct the class in their dining room.
